Paradise Waits zine features photos from the show by the same name, which was carried out in Sarasota, FL on the new moon 29 March 2025.
This show was the culmination of and container for my work, explorations, research, themes and thought processes in the 2.5 year period directly following the death of my partner. It is a reckoning, marked by a pervasive hopefulness.
I explore the multiplicities contained within life, the depth of feelings, the pondering of what might be on the other side of the thin veil that divides and connects us. I play with the [non]dualities of life/death, here/not here, present/not present.
Within the range of human emotion and experience, we must find that which brings us the most joy, the most tranquility. Always in conversation, always connected. Some things we see, some we do not. Reality is relative.
As I wonder, which world is real? What does it all mean? I arrive at the conclusion: paradise is here, now, this planet, this lifetime. Choose it. Build it. Then take time to cherish it.
